WORK AND STUDY IN AUSTRALIA

From 1 July 2023, student visa holders can work 48 hours a fortnight during their studies and unlimited hours during semester breaks.

 

Coursework students who have started their degree

  • limited to 48 hours fortnightly 
  • unlimited hours of work during semester break


Graduate researchers who have started their degree

  • unlimited working hours


Dependents of student visa holders enrolled in a Master’s or Doctorate

  • unlimited working hours


Dependents of all other student visa holders

  • limited to 48 hours fortnightly
